Secret 7" is an annual event that combines music and art for a good cause. 7 songs from 7 well-known artists are pressed 100 times each to 7" vinyl.
Creative's from around the world are invited to design artwork for the sleeves. In total, 700 sleeves are exhibited and sold for £50 each, the proceeds go to charity. The designer and song remain anonymous until the record has been purchased. Below are my most recent entries.
2015 - The Rolling Stones, Dead Roses
Taking inspiration from New Order's album cover, Power, Corruption & Lies I used a limited palette of colours taken from that album cover. Being from Manchester and having been brought up on the artwork Peter Saville I decided on simple, clean style of presenting those colours in the shape of a aquare flower.
Having decided on Jessie Ware’s track, Still Love Me, I designed a minimalist look for my cover aimed at recreating an image to reflect the beat a wave of a heart machine monitor creates.
